I either did not fully understand or maybe did not believe that Cody has throughout his life had something wrong with his body due to sickness or just playing to hard. In my life I have had the flu and cold maybe a few times throughout and never have broken anything in my body. Cody has had: whooping cough, strep, west nile, bronchitis, tonsillitis, shattered septum, broken coccyx, torn liagaments in his ankles, torn meniscus, as well as broken fingers, wrists, toes, and has pulled lower back muscles. So during the winter semester I was able to experience his pains with him. The first episode happened early one saturday morning (1am to be exact) when Cody and myself had just finished watching a movie. We got up to get ready for bed, and as Cody was in the bathroom I heard a huge BANG on the door and first I thought he had punched the door! But, as I walked in I found out he had passed out onto the door and had slide to the ground. So with the help of his old roommates, a priesthood blessing, and a trip to the ER the doctor treated him and we were able to go home knowing he was alright (for now) :) The the next experience came the last week of the semester when we found out that he was not suffering from constant inflammation in the knee since fall 2010 but rather a torn meniscus! He had surgery done on his knee so hopefully he does not have any problems with those for a while, we pray! Those two events opened my eyes and not only made me appreciate my health but more importantly allowed my love for Cody to grow even more.
